Sandwiches are a staple of lunch for children (and adults!) Of all ages, but not all are created evenly. If you want to make sandwiches that children of all ages will love, but it is full of healthy ingredients and important nutrients, consider treating your children to one of these healthy sandwich recipes.

Start with delicious wheat bread

A healthy sandwich recipe starts with a nice base and using whole wheat bread is a very good place to start. Look for wheat bread full of important nutrients, including fiber, vitamin B12, folate, selenium, and more. The tuna salad is quite healthy, as long as you use low-fat mayo. Mix a little chopped green pepper, crispy canned corn, and finely diced onion with some albacore tuna (packed in water, not oil!) And only one tablespoon or two low-fat mayo. Add Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe a piece of cheddar cheese to two slices of whole wheat bread to fill the sandwich.
